Ragdojo
Ragdojo is a turn-based fighting game driven entirely by physics. You don't press attack buttons: you set what each joint of your fighter does (contract, extend, hold or relax), advance the simulation a few frames, and see what happens. Then plan the next move.
⚠ Early prototype. Expect bugs and rough edges. The physics, rules and file formats may still change between versions.
Features
- Full joint control. 20 joints per fighter, each with four states. Grab with either hand.
- Ghost preview. See where your next move will take you before you commit, and undo as many turns as you like.
- Real damage. Hard enough hits fracture or tear joints off. Detached limbs can be reattached, depending on the rules.
- Up to 6 fighters, free-for-all or in teams.
- Exact replays. Every match can be replayed frame by frame with a free camera. You can continue from any frame, or replay it under different rules.
- Mods. Change the rules, the physics and the arena: walls, balls, weapons, moving parts, trigger zones, dojos and disqualification rules. Browse and preview mods in-game, tweak everything on the Rules screen with a live preview.
- Customization. Colors for each player, names, and your own head texture.
Controls
- Click a joint: change its state.
- Space: play the turn.
- Ctrl+Z: undo.
- F1: all controls.
Platforms
Windows (download) and browser. Mods and replays are saved next to the game on Windows; in the browser they are kept in your browser's storage.
Feedback and bug reports are very welcome!
